Tourism Developer 2022

Objective

To reward enterprises that contribute to developing Estonian tourism by offering attractive tourist services or goods, adapt quickly to unexpected circumstances and enhance popularity of Estonia as a tourism destination.

Who can apply?

Enterprises that are directly involved in offering tourist services and goods. Their impact is wider than just their enterprise and they are an example to the whole tourism industry are invited to apply.

Assessment criteria and process

We ask the entrepreneurs to show (1st stage):

  • Revenue in 2021 (if you have submitted your annual report to the Centre of Registers and Information System, you do not have to fill in this section)
  • Revenue in 2021 (if you have submitted your annual report to the Centre of Registers and Information System, you do not have to fill in this section)
  • Added value* in 2021 (if you have submitted your annual report to the Centre of Registers and Information System, you do not have to fill in this section)
  • Average number of employees in 2021 (if you have submitted your annual report to the Centre of Registers and Information System, you do not have to fill in this section) (5%)

 

The following financial indicators are taken into consideration (comprising 20% of the final result):

  1. Revenue in 2021 (5%)
  2. Profits in 2021 (5%)
  3. Added value* per employee in 2021 (10%)

 

The enterprise must show a significant achievement in the following areas (comprising 80% of the final result):

  1. A distinctive product, service or business model which also stands out on foreign markets (25%)
  2. The impact of the enterprise’s activity to the regional reputation, living and tourism environment and the tourism field in general (e.g., you have found a solution to an issue to a service that was not provided before) (25%)
  3. The enterprise has outstanding activities and accomplishments in digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation *** internally as well as societally (10%).
  4. The enterprise has shown flexibility and adaptability in complicated situations and during pivotal times (15%)

 

*Added value per employee = (personnel costs including taxes + asset depreciation + business profit) / number of employees
